Frequently Asked Questions
Are the public leagues salary cap based?
No. There are no salary cap based public leagues this year. The public leagues will use the on-line draft system for player selection.
Are there any additional fees such as trade fees or other penalties for the public leagues?
No. The purchase price of your team is the total price. There are no additional fees for trades or other transactions.
How are trades or player drops handled? Do they require an approval process?
Public Leagues: Player trades between team owners are automatic and require no commissioner approval. Player drops/adds are handled through the Waiver Wire process. Team owners may choose a player to be dropped from their team and immediately pick up a player not currently on the Waiver Wire. In order to pick up a player that is currently on the Waiver Wire, the team owner must select a player to be dropped and request the player from the Waiver Wire. Each week, on Wednesday at 5:00pm Eastern, the Waiver Wire process will run and award players requested based upon the lowest winning percentage. If two team owners request the same player from the Waiver Wire and have the same winning percentage, the total points of each team will be used to determine the team to which the Waiver Wire player is awarded (lowest total year to date points team will be awarded the player). No more than 2 players may be requested from the Waiver Wire for each player designated to be "dropped" from the team owners roster. The player being dropped will remain on your roster until (and if) you are awarded one of the requested Waiver Wire players.
Private Leagues: Player trades between team owners may be automatic or require Commissioner approval based upon league configuration. Add/Drops are configurable by the Commissioner and may be automatic, have a Waiver Wire period of x days from the date the player is dropped from the team, or have a Waiver Wire specific date and additional rules such as the number of players requested per player to be dropped and the maximum number of requests per week. Please check with your Commissioner regarding specific trade and add/drop restrictions. NOTE: Waiver Wire processing may result in invalid rosters and starting lineup changes. Team Owners must resolve any roster errors and lineup changes prior to the deadline for roster lineups for each week. What is the roster limit for the public leagues?
The roster limits for the public leagues are as follows:
What scoring system will be used in the public leagues?

New for 2005 Season - Additional Defensive Scoring (in addition to above "points allowed" scoring) Bonus/Penalty Points When are the standings updated?
